One patient's experience navigating life after an hEDS diagnosis
“I have been a patient of Crystal’s for several years now. I learned about her from the local EDS support group. I was previously diagnosed with hEDS at another clinic but had a lot of gaps in the hard part - managing the day to day burdens and creating a path forward to better care.
Crystal gave me a full evaluation, and we realized what imaging needed to be done. I feel like she did a good job of connecting me to a team of specialists that actually understand EDS, which has been invaluable over the years.
I would recommend anyone that thinks they have EDS to see Crystal, find out what issues you didn’t know were actually issues, and protect your body in the future.
Sometimes I joke about EDS feeling like “death by 1000 papercuts,” - because there’s always SOMETHING going on - but I’m so glad to have Crystal on my team helping me figure it (all!) out.”
